| Policies & Procedures |

The policies and procedures outlined below are to be reviewed by both students of age and parents and must be agreed upon prior to starting a dance program with Beyond Dance of Lynnfield.

Code of Conduct

  • All students, parents, and faculty of Beyond Dance of Lynnfield are expected to be positive, encouraging, and professional at all times.
  • Students are asked to come to class in proper attire. Please refer to the dress code policy on our website. Dancers are asked not to wear street shoes in the classroom.
  • Please keep noise levels to a minimum when entering the dance studio to be respectful to students in and out of class.
  • No cell phones are allowed in class. If cell phones are left in the lobby or cubby area; please silence them.
  • At all events including recitals, competitions, and any other performances, we expect everyone participating to be respectful and courteous.
  • Please no food or gum in the studios. Only water is allowed.

Dress Code

Dress code guidelines by class are available on our website.
Students are expected to come to class prepared to learn. Being prepared also means dressing properly. Dancers must be in form-fitting clothing. Hair must be neatly pulled back away from the face and neck, preferably in a ponytail if possible. We encourage our ballet dancers to wear a secure bun if possible. Appropriate shoes must be worn. No distracting jewelry is to be worn in class. Please be advised that any student not dressed in proper attire will receive an email from our office with a friendly reminder about the dress code.

General Studio Policies

Class Arrival/Pick Up

Students are asked to arrive on time for class and please return promptly for pick up at the end of class. We do not have staff to watch children that are dropped off early or picked up late.

Attendance

Please call the studio if you are going to be late or absent from class. Coming in to watch class is encouraged if you are feeling well enough to attend. Ask for the available makeup class list.

Snow/Other Inclement Weather

The studio will close in the event that Lynnfield Schools cancel due to snow or any other inclement weather. (No refunds will be given in the event of snow or other inclement weather.)

Makeup Classes

Makeup classes are available in the event of a class cancellation or student absence. They are not mandatory to attend but are made available for your convenience. All make-ups must be made within two weeks of a missed class. Please notify the office if you will be attending a makeup class.

Withdrawals

If you decide to withdraw your dancer at any time throughout the school year/season contract, you must provide written confirmation of withdrawal. Any outstanding fees will be due upon withdrawal. If we do not receive confirmation of withdrawal, tuition will continue to post and be owed. Unpaid tuition past three months will be sent to collection.
